My skills were pretty trash and washed up from not actively creating photos and the mental collapse paired with existential crises during 2020 - 2022. Therapy was lit, but it was @sorairo_days that pulled me out of my self imposed retirement during MAGfest and Katsucon last year to get me back into content creation. I feel very fortunate that I've had such an amazing friend and mentor since the start of my photography. To many more years of Genshin and Chinese BL content!

I’m not surprised that a cosplay from an obscure Chinese novel is not very interesting to photographers or my audience in general. Chu Wanning is hands down the costume I get the least reaction to online and at cons, despite it being one of my most fervent passion projects. I don’t take it personal especially because as a character, Chu Wanning is stoic and stand-offish, and white costumes can be difficult to photograph.

That being said, @fxdandy taking the time to photograph us and edit such stunning images because we couldn’t find a Photog to take our photo that day is such an MVP move and I will forever sing his praises for that.
(Same of @/ worldofgwendana who also did a RanWan shoot with us despite not knowing the source material. ❤️)

I really respect and appreciate photographers who shoot with me even when I’m not in a popular waifu cosplay. Thank you again @fxdandy. 👆Hire this photographer! He will take care of you! 👆
