I will remember to caption the final product next time instead of just keeping stream #captions (which fyi aren't always accurate- maybe probably I mumble) in the edited and stitched clips.

Just a taste (heh, bc belches and - it was funny in my head) of what streams are like.

If You find big belches from smedium-ish people intriguing or fun - come sit in chat in the future.

Also it's my birthday today.
Consider this my gift to You-wu.

For my #lowvision homies, this is a clip compilation of the belches I had/did during a final fantasy vii play through.

The final fantasy with Tifa, Cloud, Barrett, and Aerith.

First time playing the game.
(I didn't grow up with a gaming console.)

Geezus editing this into sub 3minutes on tik tok, uploading and re captioning here bc the captions didn't save, moving them around the hashtags i did in tiktok, doing the yelp review, adding to the yelp review because I mention things like no automatic door and that may be helpful to people who use mobility aids. Describing things people may not be able to see in the video if they are low vision or just have no idea of what these things are because maybe they never had a mango or heard of pandan?

I have no idea how long I have been doing this with my problematic thumbs.

I'll close with this.

I remember Dad making puto. So much. He really liked making it. Typically for Christmas. Dad's birthday is Christmas Eve. Not sure if that was part of the reason why?

We had a table top steamer thing? Like a thing with legs to sit on the table. A lid with a handle. Vents. You plug it in. And he would steam puto in it. The device was like a 70s yellow that aged into a yellow brown with little black legs.

Sometimes on the stove, sometimes on the dining table, at his spot.

Dad was a great cook, but this is the one thing I routinely saw him make.

Idk how to make these.

To be fair the texture isn't always my favorite, and it's not my favorite snack.

But Dad really enjoyed making this for people.

His death anniversary is tight around the corner.

Three days without power during a crippling #winterstorm really takes a toll on a body already going through a lot: #parkinsons boils #feedingtube and dependent for most daily tasks and more or less bound to his wheelchair.

I always see the Dad who would make this puto when I think of puto.
#lessonlearned don't use the hashtag option in tiktok and captioning in ig with tiktok that have #tts just does the captioning twice :/ #til

This is part 2/3
Mostly the ice cream and snack aisle with a tiny dabble in food flavoring.

Ube is purple yam. Lots of ube (oo bae) flavored goods in Filipino food, typically sweet.

Cheese i e cream is a very NORMAL thing to find at a #Filipino grocery. I don't eat it BUT my friends like it.

Was hoping for hawflakes -a wafer like snack that comes in compact wrapped rolls. It's made from a fruit and a favorite from childhood. Was hoping mostly because I saw other childhood favorites: pocky, yan-yan, and hello panda.

Yan-yan is a biscuit stick snack YOU dip in crème.

Pocky is a biscuit stick snack already dipped (usually in chocolate).

Hello Panda is a biscuit cookie snack that has crème filling. Like a puffed round cookie with a printed panda character on it and has crème filling.

Pandan isike a very floral vanilla flavor and scent. Mango is a stone fruit with a red/yellow/green skin and is sweet and fibrous. Lychee is a stone fruit with a hard shell you peel and the flesh is see through ish. It's hard to describe the taste. Like a grape sort of? For something similar. The seed is huge and easy to separate the flesh from. Mango: not that easy lol.

Part 2/3 lmao

I just need to talk less or make youtube videos idk at this point.
Before Pinsan's (cousin) birthday we went next door to look at what was in the shop.

There yan yan are biscuit stick snacks you dip in flavored creme.

Pocky are biscuit stick snacks already dipped (usually in chocolate).

Cherry foodarama is a grocery with lots of Filipino goods.

They also have foods ready to eat and some items on their menu include sinigaang which is a sour soup (i need a better way to describe it) its tangy and can either have fish as the main protein or meat at the main protein. I typically eat fish based sinigang/sinigaang at home.

They have lots of tocino and longanisa at the meat section.

Great ice cream section and yea cheese ice cream is a very typical selection in Filipino ice cream sections.

I was really surprised and impressed at THE SUPER WIDE AISLES
 I can't lie: i thought about Dad.
He would have had a comfortable time in these aisles (compared to something like the Katy Hmart).

Colored #agaragar, tons of flavoring that wouldn't be at a normal chain grocery like #pandan (it's like a beautiful floral vanilla), #lychee, and #ube (purple yam).

Lots of #goldilocks goodies neatly in a refrigerated section.

So nice.

And they have food you can order to eat. They have a menu of hot food. Their OPM. Huge green signs with classic comic book style.

I didn't realize reels are sub 1min.

This video will be in three pieces lmao
Not sure why the captions go off acreen when you go from TikTok to other platforms but ah well.
For low vision homies, please tell me if on TikTok my captions are caught by your screen reader. I figure here it's baked into the video so:

I was thinking about accessibility visiting Dad the other day.

He has this bump.

It's not a ramp. It wasn't designed to be the start of one.

But across Dad, that side has ramps. Maybe it was built later on?

Either way, Dad's side doesn't have any nearby ramps and no sidewalk areas.

I feel like that would be hard for the homies using mobility aids.

Dad's friends are 70+ mostly so no doubt someone is in a wheelchair.

So they have to hang out in the street to hang out with Dad?

I mean, good thing he is right by the street, but what if it's full parking?

How do they get out and see him?

The other side had ramps and walk ways.

It would be nice if they could do that for other sides of the cemetery too.

What about if a mobility aid user has a loved one no where near a street, with no ramp access?

Stuff I have been thinking about.

For those who are like, that's not much of a bump.

Seemingly so.

Trying to get someone up a bump that high because a ramp was not finished all the way through... (bc we did that in a high rise parking lot downtown) it is nearly impossible and something you shouldn't have to deal with anyway. Finish ramps, man!

You don't feel safe doing it
And they don't feel safe in the chair.

But you gotta get out of the parking lot, right?

Instead of obstacles, it would be nice if the world was more accomodating.

Instead of, 'that sounds like a you problem'
Maybe it should be an 'everybody problem.'

Accessibility shouldn't be seen as a pain in the ass expense
It should be a bare minimum jump off point to create equity.

Pps there are tons of disabled and disability rights accounts on twitter, ig, tiktok.

Visited Dad three days in a row 💖

I know I barely post anymore.
(Outside of my stories)

Mom chose the bouquet. It makes me wonder about the symbolism behind orange flowers in various cultures.
I rarely see orange roses.
Beautiful, right?

#TIL The cemetery Dad is resting in has blessings for graves, you just have to be there for it. So we rushed over. We planned on visiting anyway, but now we know for next year so we can plan better and buy flowers/food earlier in the morning or the night before.

Also, chairs.

Today is #AllSoulsDay
Yesterday was #AllSaintsDay
Halloween is the Eve of All Saints Day.

We have an altar for Dad at home, but it's nice to visit in person.

He still doesn't have his marker or benches.
Covid affected a lot of industries and supply chain. December at the earliest.
So hopefully by the time his birthday comes around? (Christmas Eve)

To friends and family and strangers celebrating/mourning people whose mortal lives have ended: I hope today is beautiful and wherever you are at in healing: everyone has their own pace and ways of healing.

To the lives lost, I hope you are in peace.
Found this from someone I am not sure would want to be @'d.

Pretty sure this doesn't need a caption.

But maybe add
Imho
I feel in partnerships

your other half
or a part of you:

We are all whole ass people.

It is important to be able to heal ourselves
and be alone with ourselves
And be very honest with ourselves
About ourselves
before we try to be with others.

Work through our shit
so we don't shit on others
consciously or unconsciously.
