Thanks to @airrosen for taking some photos of me at @yaddotoday. Both were taken in West House, the first on the sun porch and the second in my writing studio.

West House is where I finished the draft of my debut novel two years ago (coming out in January!), and it was the perfect place to work on my next one. So many other writers have stayed in the house through the years: Sylvia Plath, William Carlos Williams, Patricia Highsmith, Jonathan Lethem. Two writers who shared the house with me the last time I was there have new books coming out soon: @the_dog_philosopher & @jamiefordofficial

The last photo here is a painting of West House by @new_weather. The day he painted this, I was writing at a window looking out across a field at a person with an easel. The next week I saw this painting hanging in his studio.

Spent a few days in Charles Moore’s iconic Unit #9 of Condominium One in Sea Ranch. The stay coincided with yet another read-through of my novel (did you know if you write a novel you have to read it like 9881838287 times before it’s published?).
