Yesterday I woke up to @humnamustafa live drawing a mandala with so much meaningful and mindful intent. I couldn’t stick around but I also couldn’t stop thinking about it. I hadn’t drawn anything for leisure/pleasure/rest/healing in such a long time. Today I came prepared - I sat in a park with my kids and friends and we drew and colored and painted. I felt both rusty and at home at the same time, and so happy to have been caught by inspiration after such a long year of watching others build and create in the midst of my own creative block. Looking forward to more of this. More spontaneous inspiration, more letting go, more vibrance. And more of today’s weather👌🏽 #makeartjustbecause

I started painting daily journal-y postcards last month. I am terrible at journaling but somehow really enjoy doing these because they are disjointed and chaotic and I’m not keeping them. It’s been one of the ways I’ve been coping with the current situation. My main goal was to put my watercolors to use again, and I love the lack of structure in these. I have some more in production but the rate at which I’m creating them has slowed down in the past couple of weeks. I still have several addresses for people to send them to, but if you’d be interested in some colorful, messy art on a postcard at some point, please dm me your address. If I don’t make it to you this round, I may be able to some other time.
