Happy Anniversary 10th Anniversary @mary2him ❤️. What better time to announce Baby P #2 👶🏾! Last Saturday we commemorated all that God is doing with a small vow renewal ceremony in our backyard with family and friends. 10 represents many things: harmony, completion, law, and reward. Today we celebrate the reward - the reward of our love, God's grace, and the gift of new life! Baby P will be arriving Spring 2024 and we're excited to meet Tank's little sister or brother, and he's crazy excited to be big brother! Thank you so much to our friend Pastor @iamtyfrancis for officiating and reminding us that even with all we've accomplished over the last 10 years, there is still more. Transitions ☀️🍂 You ever look around and what you see doesn't fit what you feel? It looks every bit like Fall right now as I post this in November, but it feels like Summer. Sometimes life is that way. The situation doesn't look like what God said. It's in those moments that I think about Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was there that everything changed. It was the pivot point. The transition. That's exactly what the nevertheless means. In Hebrew it's the end of a thing. In Greek its the transition of something new. He went from Jesus the man, to accepting the Christ. Not that he was separated, but that we got to see Him make the decision that what He saw in the flesh wouldn't dictate what His spirit knew to do. Whatever transition you're in today, embrace it. Adapt a "nevertheless" posture. Luke 22:42 - "...Nevertheless, not our will, but Yours be done." Isaiah 43:18 - "Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Rev. 21:5 - "He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” #jesus #bible #nevertheless #transition #newseason #fall #summer #2024 #embrace #new
Life certainly isn't always easy. I know that over the last few months, I've found a lot of reasons to complain. Sometimes life is just like that! This video is from a very rare occasion where me, my dad, and my brother all ministered together, in the same place, at the save time - me through preaching & teaching, my dad through singing and playing, and my brother through drumming. Not to mention the many uncles, aunts, and cousins who were there singing along. I'm encouraged today and I want you to be, too. Why? I'm glad that you asked! Because of the fact that our good days outweigh our bad days. It doesn't seem like it. It may not feel like it. But when you look around and think things over, you can see God's hand has kept you. He's known what's best for us from the very start. And He's keeping you and I right now. So even though we might feel like complaining, begin to thank God instead. "...give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thess. 5:18 "Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues?
