I’m finishing writing up this pattern for a cute granny square balaclava so I wanted to share my favorite part! If you made my Harriet tank, you know I’m a big fan of front and back post ribbing. Honestly I’m just obsessed with it. I think it looks beautiful in every project. It reminds me the same feeling of twisted rib in knitting. I know it may not be everyone’s jam, but it’s mine 😍 . This sweater is like a big hug and I love it 😍 . On top of how bad last month was, I’ve also been struggling a great deal with my health and getting treatment. I haven’t qualified for health insurance since 2017 and it’s really difficult to get affordable treatment otherwise. All that to say, I’ve been in need of a big hug and this sweater hit the spot. I have one week to complete this sweater for my trip! Do you think I’ll make it? This sweater has been a great distraction to work on. And it’s getting colder and colder here each day! . I have really poured my heart into writing this so please read and just be respectful. I would love to keep the comments on but I will turn them off if anyone isn’t respectful. I never want to make these posts ever. I would much rather share the joy and beauty of my Jewish identity. . Almost one year ago to the day I made a post very similar to this. Help me create a world where these posts never have to happen again.. . One more thing I couldn’t fit into these slides. The Magen star in the first photo is not a symbol of zi@nism. It is a very old and sacred Jewish symbol. Don’t rewrite what our symbols mean to fit any narrative. This symbol was once used to identify Jews of Europe to be m*urdered, now I have it placed in my home to honor the lives that were lost. ❤️ . I’m sorry I don’t have all the slides written out for those with vision impairments. There was far too much to be able to fit into a caption.
