my third EP, "the tears we fight", is coming out on wednesday, september 13th

this project has been my blood, sweat, and tears for the last 3 years. i began writing this at the same time as the "second thoughts" EP, initially as a sister project, but as time went on, things just shifted. i went through more change in my life than i could ever imagine; the last 3 years haven't felt like years. they haven't even felt like months. i haven't been able to sit down and truly reflect on anything that happened to me ever since the machine started working. i haven't given myself the chance to.

i'd take every opportunity possible as a chance to move forward, while every other aspect was forcing me a step back. the only time i ever had to sit down and come to terms with what's happened is throughout writing these songs. every single thought that hasn't left my head is finally coming out. not just for the people i've lost or hurt; for everyone. this entire project is me struggling to live up to everyone else's expectations and find a happy balance.

it's terrifying. i'm so fucking scared. with everything before, it's all just collections of songs about girls or little 4am rabbit holes. but for the last 3 years, i've been struggling to dig myself out of the mess i've made. this is the only thing i've had control over. every ounce of me has gone into this EP and i haven't been more proud of anything in my life.

this is the first time that i can say that this project isn't made for you. this one is for me.

how do we feel about "problem" ???? i hope u love it as much as i hated myself writing it :3 if you're in toronto and want to hear it live, we're gonna be performing at the CNE bandshell tomorrow @ 7:30pm !!!!! hope to see some of you there :)
