It called Bramble the Mountain King and itโ€™s definitely a new fav of this year. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay was challenging (for me) and fun! Itโ€™s an adventure narrative based on Norse folklore and definitely made me jump a few times with how creepy it is. I would definitely recommend it. My plan for today is to declutter my closet and hopefully play some games! I started a new game recently called The Chant and it is so creepy but fun lol Im trying to branch out with the types of games I play. Iโ€™ve always loved horror but mainly if itโ€™s exploration. In this game thereโ€™s still exploration but you have to fight off the monsters as well. Such good memories associated with these games as well. Hereโ€™s a short review of each (: 1. Oxenfree: One of the first point-and-click/narrative games I had played and found myself sinking into immediately. The dialogue from the teenagers is more revealing and earnest, which adds a lot to the overall story of the game. By the end, I found myself relating to each character for a different reason: beautiful art, amazing atmosphere, and creative story. โ€ฉ2. Stardew Valley: Do I really need to explain this one? Hahaha โ€ฉ3. Life is Strange: Played this back in 2019 and it really piqued my interest in narrative-driven games. It can be a little cheesy at times but it was a blast to play. I loved unraveling the mystery and seeing how my choices impacted different characters. โ€ฉ4. FireWatch: A breathtaking journey through the Wyoming wilderness with stunning visuals and serene atmosphere. The mystery element keeps you engaged, but itโ€™s the emotional depth that truly sets this game apart. โ€ฉ5. What Remains of Edith Finch: The narrative-driven gameplay unfolds like a collection of short stories, each more emotionally powerful than the last. Itโ€™s a thought-provoking exploration of life, death, and family, leaving a profound lingering impact. โ€ฉMost of these are available on the console as well! Iโ€™ve used them for about a week to go on walks, the gym, and just use around the house while cleaning/working.
