Randy Steele is an award winning banjo pickin' singer/songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. His first solo album was released in early 2017 followed by an EP released in the summer of 2018. Both albums were met with critical acclaim and spotlights from dozens of music critics, including Relix Magazine, No Depression, and The Bluegrass Situation. In 2018 Steele won an Independent Music Award for Bluegrass 'Song of the Year' for "Mobile Soon" and was also selected as a Finalist in the New Song LEAF Songwriting Competition. Steele then spent 2019 hard on the road clocking in 90 shows in 17 states in 47 cities before being forced off the road by the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. 2021 started off with a successful spring tour in South Carolina and a summer full of full band and solo shows. Randy began recording his next album in May 2021 and is currently booking shows and festivals in a few select repeating markets for solo and bluegrass band performances.

#BTFLW Big times from last week! Thanks a ton for showing up at Fireside this week y’all! We had one of the biggest crowds in the series history and we definitely had a grand time! Big thanks to @jsusman @chaparksdept @outdoorchatt @johnmartinboulware and @justin.hupp.58 and a big shoutout to Terri Chapin for starting the whole thing! I was able to reprise my role as one of the ‘Chattanooga Two’ in a @nicklutsko band. We did a pop up show at the @spirithalloween to a great crowd of his fans. Always fun hanging with that crew and getting to play with @jonrelliott & @greezy_rick is always a treat! Followed by seeing @puddlespityparty and Nick at the @thesignaltn that night, such a great show. Big big times with @mangosdecor and @meeshellpesce that night! Wedding gig with @slimpickinsbluegrass, laughed to the point of tears multiple times. #BTFLW Life has started returning to ‘normal’ and things seem worth sharing again. It’s been tough to navigate Social Media with all that’s been happening but I need to get back on the horse so to speak. So with that, here’s an update from last week’s shenanigans. Kloe is growing up and getting mean as a snake but she’s been a welcome distraction for the family. It’s been a tough few weeks y’all. I lost a long time close friend and have been dealing with all the implications and feelings. Just to be honest, I don’t really know what to do. I’m not good at mourning or acknowledging feelings. I’ve just been really sad. My relief has come from spending time with my family and playing songs. Just gonna do the only thing I know to do and move forward playing music. To that end…I’m going to play 2 solo shows this weekend. Playing a very short opening set Friday night at the @thewoodshoppresents with @goldenshoals @theyellowdandies. When I saw this show get booked a few weeks back, I begged the booker to put me on. I’ve been into Golden Shoals for a while, they are fantastic. Great writing, playing, singing, their whole aesthetic is really great. They’ve gotten me into the Yellow Dandies now too so I’m really looking forward to seeing them play. This whole weekend is FinsterFest down in Georgia, there are some really great acts all weekend (@abepartridge @papablueclef @chattanooga_dogs, literally a bunch, go check their website orinsta). I’ll be playing on Sunday at the Mosaic Garden stage at noon. Looking forward to being on stage again. @howardfinstersparadisegarden #riverdaysaints
